Registration for Board Meetings

Regardless of whether the Board is meeting virtually or in-person, you may observe the meeting virtually. When the Board is meeting in-person, you also have the option to observe the meeting in-person.

Month of Meeting Virtual Attendance Procedure In-person Attendance Procedure
April, June, August, October On the day of the meeting, click the virtual login link on the last page of the agenda PDF (found in the table below when it is available). No registration is required. Log in and out based on the topics that you are interested in. You are in “listen only” mode and do not have access to any chat functions within the virtual meeting. Register to observe the meeting in-person by 5 p.m. the Thursday before the meeting. On the day of the meeting, go to the U.S. Government Accountability Office at 441 G Street NW, Washington, DC, 20548. Enter the building through the G Street side of the building and budget 15 minutes to process through security. After you are through security, follow the signs to the meeting room.
December, February On the day of the meeting, click the virtual login link on the last page of the agenda PDF (found in the table below when it is available). No registration is required. Log in and out based on the topics that you are interested in. You are in “listen only” mode and do not have access to any chat functions within the virtual meeting. None – the meeting is virtual for all.

Additional Information for In-person Meetings

FASAB meets at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) building at 441 G Street NW, Washington, DC, 20548. Please confirm the room number and agenda times before the meeting as these details are subject to change.

Before the Meeting

  1. Check the agenda for any schedule or location revisions before attending each meeting. Due to the unpredictable nature of deliberations, FASAB cannot accept any responsibility for losses or inconvenience caused by changes to the agenda.
  2. Bring any desired briefing materials for the day’s session.
  3. Please allow 15 minutes to sign in and process through security. If you do not register by 5 p.m. the Thursday before the meeting, you will not be admitted until there is an available escort. An escort may be available by calling 202-512-7350.

During the Meeting

  1. Enter and exit the meeting room as quietly as possible.
  2. Refrain from participating in meeting discussions absent prior arrangements to do so.
  3. Refrain from talking or engaging in any other activities that might be distracting to others.
  4. Turn cell phones to silent mode while in the meeting room.
  5. Refrain from taking photographs or operating video cameras or tape recorders in the meeting room.

General Information

  1. All FASAB meetings are recorded.
  2. FASAB is unable to accommodate observer requests to modify the room temperature. Observers should dress in layers and bring a sweater or jacket in case the meeting room temperature is not comfortable.
  3. FASAB does not have Wi-Fi, Internet, telephone, fax, or copying facilities available for observers.
  4. Smoking is not permitted in the GAO building. Smoking is permitted outside of the GAO entrances at least 50 feet away from the doors.
  5. FASAB does not provide lunch or refreshments for observers.

Information for Observers

Pre-Registration
If you wish to observe a public FASAB Board meeting you must complete the online pre-registration form no later than noon the Monday before the meeting to allow security to process your access to the meeting location.

Location
FASAB meetings are generally held in Room 7C13 of the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) building at 441 G Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20548.

Observers Should Adhere to the Following Procedures Before the Meeting:
