Board Meetings

FASAB meetings are generally open to the public for observation. Administrative sessions and closed meetings are not open to the public. During public meetings, Board members discuss technical issues on agenda items and make tentative decisions on those issues.

FASAB holds bimonthly meetings, usually on a Tuesday and Wednesday. Unless otherwise noted, the December and February meetings are virtual, and the April, June, August, and October meetings are in-person. Regardless of whether the Board meeting is virtual or in-person, you may observe the meeting virtually.

Month of Meeting Virtual Attendance Procedure In-person Attendance Procedure
April, June, August, October On the day of the meeting, click the virtual login link on the last page of the agenda PDF (found in the table below when it is available). No registration is required. Log in and out based on the topics that you are interested in. You are in “listen only” mode and do not have access to any chat functions within the virtual meeting. Register to observe the meeting in-person by 5 p.m. the Thursday before the meeting. On the day of the meeting, go to the U.S. Government Accountability Office at 441 G Street NW, Washington, DC, 20548. Enter the building through the G Street side of the building and budget 15 minutes to process through security. After you are through security, follow the signs to the meeting room.
December, February On the day of the meeting, click the virtual login link on the last page of the agenda PDF (found in the table below when it is available). No registration is required. Log in and out based on the topics that you are interested in. You are in “listen only” mode and do not have access to any chat functions within the virtual meeting. None – the meeting is virtual for all.

Meeting Schedule

The agenda and briefing materials are generally posted ten days prior to each meeting; minutes are posted after they are reviewed and approved by the members.
